Submissions
1. Can I submit a manuscript to JCIS at any time of the year?
Yes, JCIS accepts submissions year-round with the following publication timeline:
April

2. What is the typical timeline for publishing in JCIS after submission?
Once submitted, manuscripts undergo editorial screening and double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers. The review duration varies depending on reviewer availability and author responsiveness. While timelines may differ, we strive for a thorough yet efficient review process.
3. Can my manuscript be fast-tracked to meet my graduation requirement?
No. All manuscripts are subject to the same rigorous peer review process. Editors cannot guarantee expedited acceptance or publication to meet graduation or employment deadlines. Authors are advised to plan submissions accordingly.
4. Can I submit my manuscript by email?
No. JCIS uses an online submission system for all manuscript handling and communication. Submissions must be made via the journal’s website to ensure proper tracking and workflow.
5. Can I request the editor to expedite or prioritize my submission?
No. Editors strive to process all submissions efficiently and fairly. Requests for prioritization may compromise editorial impartiality and are discouraged.
Review & Publication Process
6. Can I know exactly when my manuscript will be accepted or published?
The decision and publication timeline depends on reviewer feedback, revision rounds, and editorial evaluation. We are unable to guarantee or predict specific acceptance or publication dates.
7. When will I receive the Letter of Acceptance (LOA)?
An official Letter of Acceptance (LOA) is issued only after the final version of the manuscript is approved by the editor following peer review. LOAs are not issued upon submission.
Fees & Access
8. What is the publication fee for JCIS?
JCIS is an open access journal with Article Processing Charges (APCs). This journal requires a publication fee. Please refer to the Publication Fee tab for further details.

10. I would like to join the Editorial Board. How do I apply?
Please email your full academic CV to the editorial office at jcis.uitm@gmail.com. Kindly allow 4–5 weeks for application review and processing.
11. I would like to become a reviewer. What should I do?
We welcome reviewer applications. Please register via our online system and indicate your interest in reviewing:
